Palmistry is the analysis of the hand. Using the hand as a topographical map of a person’s character and nature, the palmist proceeds to “read” or interpret the appearance of the hand. The lines, wrinkles, shape and contours hold specific meanings and interpretations to the trained palmist. The appearance of these lines and demarkations actually change in accordance with the individual's growth and transformations.

 Past-Life Therapy

Past-Life Therapy is based on the premise that many of our problems have their roots in previous incarnations, real or imagined. Using hypnosis, it enables us to find and relive those past experiences. Often the experience alone may eliminate the trouble, but sometimes further work with a therapist is required. In most cases, PLT gets results very rapidly, even with long-standing problems and often when other therapies have failed.

Polarity Therapy, developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, a chiropractor, osteopath and naturopath, is a synthesis of combined healing arts and sciences. The many techniques which comprise this therapy include polarity manipulations, dietary principles, yoga and attitudinal changes. Though the polarity manipulations constitute about 9% of the actual therapy, all of the combined techniques facilitate balance and release of the body's own life energy and healing power.

 PraNIC HEALINGsm

Pranic Healing is a comprehensive system of subtle energy healing utilizing prana in balancing, harmonizing and transforming the body’s energy processes. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means vital life force. This invisible bioenergy keeps the body alive and healthy. In Chinese, this subtle energy is call Chi. It is also called Ruah (breath of life) in Hebrew.

Pranic Healing is a simple yet powerful and effective no-touch method of energy healing. It is based on the fundamental principle that the body is a “self-repairing” living entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Pranic healing also works on the principle that the healing process is accelerated by increasing the life force or vital energy on the affected part of the physical body.

Pranic Healing influences this natural life force to bring about a healthier physical body. Pranic Healing is applied on the electromagnetic field also known as aura, which contains the mold and blueprint of the physical body. This bioplasmic body absorbs life energy and distributes this to the organs and glands. Diseases first appear as energetic disruptions in the energy field before presenting as ailments in the physical body.

Pranic healing realigns the whole energy system to help initiate specific biochemical changes to accelerate the body’s natural ability to prevent and alleviate a wide spectrum of physical, emotional and psychological ailments. You can learn to do this for yourself and your loved ones in these powerful result-oriented workshops.

Pranic Healing is not intended to replace conventional medicine but rather to complement it. Pranic Healing respects all religions and philosophies.

 Psychic development

PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT—Explore and develop your sixth sense and beyond.  Partake of group meditation, and learn how to channel the infinite intelligence of Divine Mind.  Psychic Development is not intended to be a short course in Psychic training, but wil be an on-going study group that will focus on individual growth and development.

  We will take apart the psychic realm and study it in block form.  Each session will last five weeks or longer to allow the student to develop a feel for the topic.

  Topics will include, but will not be limited to: Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Trance, Psychometry, the Chakras, Spiritual Healing, Astral Projection, and selected topics in spirituality and Quantum Physics.  We will explore the new awareness that physcicists and learned people have gained about the role consciousness plays in the formation of our three-dimensional world.

  Can we manifest reality?  Are we a necessary component in the “soup” of reality?

  Come with a desire to learn, and bring a healthy skepticism.  All are invited, neophyte and advanced.  The first session, which all must attend to gain access into the higher studies, will be the Art of Meditation.  Here the student will be given several methods of attaining a deep altered state.  The benefits of meditation and health will also be explored.

  At this printing, we are accepting inquiries about our program that will commence in Spring, 1998.  The program will be given at the new Point of Infinity center at a quiet and serene location in the heart of the Catskills Mountains in Greenfield, NY, a stone’s throw from Ellenville.

  For all those interested: please call (914) 358-6448 for a questionnaire that will help us determine the appropriate time and day to hold the sessions so that we may accommodate the maximum number of applicants.  Class size will be limited to twenty students on a first application received basis.  All those who fill out an application will be invited to the center for an afternoon discussion to familiarize you with the center and participate in a group meditation and seance.

Psychosynthesis is a holistic approach to healing and integrating the psyche. The process evokes psychological and spiritual growth as it expands consciousness. Based on the work of Italian psychiatrist Roberto Assagioli (1888-1974), psychosynthesis encompasses mystical philosophies and depth psychology in a model that finds order and meaning in the universe and in an individual life. While developing potential, psychosynthesis incorporates a cosmic framework that honors synchronicity and karma. Among other tools, visualization and imagery may be employed.

Qigong practice is fun! Join us and learn very simple, very easy, yet very powerful techniques to enhance your physical and mental health. Qigong, literally energy work, forms the foundation of traditional Oriental healing arts. Workshop includes:

* Three Keys to Success

* Important Safety Tips

* Sitting, Standing and Walking Meditation

* Free-form Dancing Qigong

What is Qigong?

Qigong embodies ancient self-care techniques discovered in China thousands of years ago, long before the art of writing was developed. Traditionally these arts are handed down from master to disciple through direct instruction. Today, Qigong exercises are very popular in China. Early morning groups of a dozen to several hundred people of all ages practice together.

Qigong Practices

There are many types of Qigong practice: standing meditation, walking meditation, quiet sitting meditation, massage and slow movement from a standing, sitting or lying position. Internal martial arts like Taijiquan are a specialized branch of Qigong methodology.

All of these practices involve regulation of the breath and induce a deep state of relaxation, leading to improved health for the entire body. Specific Qigong exercises stimulate energy (Qi) along the body's meridians and promote the health of the internal organs. Qigong practices also improve the immune function, oxygen distribution, lymphatic flow and autonomic balance of the body. Qigong can provide excellent exercise for the physically fit and can also be adapted to suit the needs of people who are very sick or incapacitated.

More about Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. The word Qigong (Chi Kung) is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe.

The second word, Gong, pronounced gung, means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qigong (Chi Kung) means cultivating energy. It is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality.

Qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual. All styles have three things in common: they all involve a posture (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus. Some practices increase the Qi; others circulate it, use it to cleanse and heal the body, store it, or emit Qi to help heal others. Practices vary from the soft internal styles such as Tai Chi; to the external, vigorous styles such as Kung Fu. However, the slow gentle movement of most Qigong forms can be easily adapted, even for the physically challenged and can be practiced by all age groups.

Like any other system of health care, Qigong is not a panacea, but it is certainly a highly effective health care practice. Many health care professionals recommend Qigong as an important form of alternative complementary medicine.

Why do Qigong?

Qigong creates an awareness of and influences dimensions of our being that are not part of traditional exercise programs. Most exercises do not involve the meridian system used in acupuncture nor do they emphasize the importance of adding mind intent and breathing techniques to physical movements. When these dimensions are added, the benefits of exercise increase exponentially.

The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. it has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions.

Those who maintain a consistent practice of Qigong find that it helps one regain a youthful vitality, maintain health even into old age and helps speed recovery from illness. Western scientific research confirms that Qigong reduces hypertension and the incidence of falling in the aged population. One of the more important long-term effects is that Qigong reestablishes the body/mind/soul connection.

When these three aspects of our being are integrated, it encourages a positive outlook on life and helps eliminate harmful attitudes and behaviors, It also creates a balanced life style, which brings greater harmony, stability, and enjoyment.

Who can benefit?

Qigong’s great appeal is that anyone can benefit from practicing it, regardless of their level of physical fitness, whether they are young or old, what belief system they hold, their level of income, or life circumstances.

There are a wide variety of Qigong practices. They vary from the simple, internal forms to the more complex and challenging external styles. They can interest and benefit everyone, from the most physically challenged to the super athlete. There are Qigong classes for children, senior citizens and every age group in between. Since Qigong can be practiced anywhere or at any time, there is no need to buy special clothing or to join a health club.

Anyone can enrich their lives by adding Qigong to their daily routine: children learning to channel their energy and develop increased concentration; office workers learning Qigong to reduce stress; seniors participating in gentle movements to enhance balance and their quality of life; caregivers embracing a practice to develop their ability to help others; prisons instituting Qigong programs to restore balance in inmates lives; midwives using Qigong techniques to ease childbirth.

When an individual or group assumes responsibility and takes action for their health and healing, we all benefit.

RADIONICS is a method to distill the healing energies from the UEF (Universal Energy Field) with the use of machines which generaterates” or “frequencies.” Along with radiathesia, radionics broadcasts energies through the UEF to patients located at considerable distances from the practitioners. A blood sample or a piece of hair from the patient is generally used as an “antenna.”  The radionics practitioner can choose which auric layer to work with.

Rebirthing is a self-help method learned under the guidance of a trained professional re-birther. A specific breathing technique is utilized to harmonize body, mind and emotions. Through the development and practice of this breath, the individual experiences magnified awareness of previously submerged and suppressed memories, feelings and sensations.

Significant in Rebirthing is the re-experiencing of the birth trauma which often occurs during this process. This is due to the feelings of negativity and rejection carried over into adult life from their origins in the birth process.

Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet and hands which are actually “reflections” of body parts. Their location and relationships to each other follow a logical anatomical pattern which closely resembles that of the body itself.

This ancient healing technique involves a steady pressure on the reflex points which correspond to areas throughout the body. Reflexology accelerates the body's natural healing abilities. The gentle stimulation upon the points or reflexes directly acts upon particular organs, glands and body parts.

Hand/Foot Reflexology is a pleasant, soothing, preventive health care measure.

Reiki was founded by Japanese Christian educator Dr. Mikao Usui and introduced in the United States by his pupil, Saichi Takata, on the island of Hawaii in 1937. Based on the principles of Chi, or universal life energy, Reiki promotes healing through methods that are rooted in spiritual tradition. In Reiki, a practitioner's hands are very gently placed on the fully-clothed body of a person in a variety of established places on the head, chest, abdomen, and back. Treatments vary with each individual. Training to become a practitioner requires one weekend’s study of both Levels 1 and 2, and Level 3 (Master's Level) by apprenticeship.

 Relaxation Techniques

Among the numerous varieties of relaxation methodologies & practices, Deep Conscious Relaxation is probably the best. Although quite ancient, Deep Relaxation has recently been popularized by many, especially by Herbert Benson in The Relaxation Response and in Jon Kabat Zinn’s works, among others. This technique is inexpensive, easy to learn, and produces results on the border of miraculous. To rejuvenate and restore oneself or even “heal” various places in one’s body-mind-spirit, Deep Relaxation, practiced with conscious awareness, is one of the most beneficial self-healing methods available.

 RoHun Therapy

RoHun is a spiritually-based therapy combining energy work, talk therapy and guided meditation in a unique holistic process. The true self, the one with innate power, wisdom, creativity and capacity for love, hovers above one’s life waiting to come in. But the space is taken by negative thinking patterns, based on fear and anger, which form physical blocks in one’s energy field. The therapist works with the blocks while the client is in a light trance, stimulating them to perceive key issues through images and sensations without relying on the intellect. The client then identifies the blocks and removes them. Most intriguing is RoHun’s power to open spiritual awareness, helping a person to know who they are and why they are here.

Rolfing is a system of manipulation and body education designed to lengthen and balance the body in gravity along its natural vertical axis. The Rolfer employs a wide spectrum of touch to release restrictions in the connective tissue wrappings of the musculature (myofascia). The myofascia shortens and compensates differently in each individual, due to overuse of poor posture, accidents, and patterns of emotional stress/distress. The basic Rolfing series of ten sessions progresses from superficial to deeper layers of the body and evokes a reorganization of the body segments. Greater symmetry and balance means erect, easy posture. Interplay between body and mind then expands the possibility for psychological growth.

 Rosen Method Bodyworks

Rosen Method Bodyworks is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork that creates an environment where it becomes possible to know oneself in a deep and profound way; to find the place where body, mind and spirit meet. The Rosen Method practitioner touches in a non-intrusive way which leads to relaxation of chronic muscular tension. For each individual, the chronic tension is unique and specific to his or her life experiences. As relaxation occurs, unconscious information moves toward consciousness through internal physical sensations, images and memories. This awareness provides a felt insight into oneself, while at the same time allowing affected muscular contractions of the body to return to a state of relaxation. When this happens anxiety is reduced, and a greater ease of physical movements occur. Within this context, emotional and cognitive choices emerge. Rosen Method is known as an effective adjunct to psychotherapy.

Rosen Method provides benefits for the following conditions or situations:

people who have physical pain and discomfort;

people under stress;

people who want to increase their physical activity;

people who feel over extended;

people looking for physical and emotional transformation.

 Rubenfeld Synergy Method

Rubenfeld Synergy Method integrates elements of the great bodymind teachers, F.M. Alexander and Moshe Feldenkrais, together with the Gestalt theory and practice of Fritz and Laura Perls and hypnotherapy of Milton Erickson. Integration, integrity, intimacy, spirituality and community are keystones of the Rubenfeld Synergy Method.

Emotions and memories stored in our beings often result in energy blocks, tensions, and imbalances. The Rubenfeld Synergy method uses many avenues to access these reservoirs of feeling, including verbal expression, movement, breathing patterns, body posture, kinesthetic awareness, imagination, sound, and caring touch.

Together, synergist and client make room for emerging feelings, integrating them with present experience. This method is a psycho-physical journey stressing acceptance, caring, trust, humor, and growth, with goals of wholeness, harmony, empowerment, and freedom.
